Lorna and her team are excited to welcome all primary aged children to join them in a time of fun, friendship and finding out more about following Jesus. We value children as a precious part of the church of today, and count it a privilege to create a safe, quality environment where they can step into the things of God and grow into radical disciples of Jesus, fully expecting them to challenge us, as adults, to go further in our walk with Him.
How does it work?
Registration for Kids will begin at 10.15, in the Gorleston Room. (Just ask anyone on the Welcome Team or follow the crowd!) On your first visit, you will be asked to complete a short registration form, and each week after that you will sign children in. The children will then remain with their leaders for the rest of the morning, and will not be able to leave without an adult collecting them.
What do the children do while they are with you?
After registering, the children stay with their leaders until 10:30, when they join the church family for worship. In church, the children sit together with their leaders to join in with child-friendly (but not childish) worship. Following this, they go out for their group time in the Gorleston Room. Here they have fun engaging in exciting and energetic activities together, including games, crafts, teaching, worship and prayer, generally following the theme of the adult talk in the main service. We draw to a close at around 12.00.
Do I have to stay?
You do not have to remain on the premises, although, of course, you are more than welcome to stay, either to engage with the main service, or just to have a quiet cuppa in the coffee shop, but we do ask, please, that you collect your child/ren from the Gorleston Room at 12.00.
