Sundays at Kingsgate
Join us every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday Service.
We meet together at the Kings Centre gathering in the main hall for contemporary worship, including prayer, contributions from the church family, sharing of bread and wine (Holy Communion) and a time of teaching from the Bible. We also have a full programme for under 18’s. Towards the end of our time together there is often an opportunity to ask for prayer. We generally finish around 11.45 with teas and coffees available before and after the service.
Our meetings are informal and relaxed, so please come as you are. Some people may sit, stand, raise their hands or kneel at various times; there is no set or expected behaviour so feel free to join in as much or as little as you like.
We love to welcome new people, so whether you are visiting, just moving to the area and looking for a church community to be part of, or searching for a meaning to life, we will be delighted to help you feel at home and our welcome team will be on hand to answer any questions.

Seating
On the left side of the Main Hall we have seating & mats for parents & children that wish to use it. The middle sections have regular seating.

Youth At Kingsgate (YAK)
YAK gather together on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month, upstairs at King’s Centre, in the youth room. Through a range of activities, we explore what it means to live life as a Christian in today’s culture. Our younger youth (years 7-9) also meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
Our young people are also encouraged to serve one Sunday a month in various areas of church life.
Kids Ministry
The Kingsgate Kids team are excited to welcome all primary-aged kids to join them in a time of fun, friendship and finding out more about following Jesus. We value children as a precious part of the church of today, and count it a privilege to create a safe, quality environment where they can step into the things of God and grow into radical disciples of Jesus, fully expecting them to challenge us, as adults, to go further in our walk with Him.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Registration for Kingsgate Kids and Tots will begin at 10.15am just inside the main foyer. On your first visit you will be asked a few questions to register your child, then in subsequent weeks we will show you how to register their details electronically.
After registering, the children stay with their parents for the start of the service, when families join the church family for worship. During the worship time together, the children are encouraged to join in as it is suitable for all.
At around 10.50, the host will let everyone know that the Kids Team Leaders will gather all the children together and they will leave for their own group upstairs.
WHAT DO THE CHILDREN DO WHILE THEY ARE WITH YOU?
Once we are upstairs in the Gorleston Room they will have fun engaging in exciting and energetic activities together, including games, crafts, teaching, worship and prayer.
We draw to a close at 12 noon. Please come and collect your children promptly as they will not be able to leave their group without an adult collecting them.
Tots & Creche
Our lovely tots team invite pre-school Tots to join them, after the worship time, in the Norfolk Room, in an exciting but safe space where the journey of getting to know who God, having fun and building friendships can begin.

Can parents stay?
We welcome you to stay and join in, or to ‘hover’ until you feel comfortable to leave (Comfy sofas provided!). You are welcome to feed your baby wherever and whenever you feel comfortable, but there is also a discreet area available should you feel you would like to take advantage of this.
What happens in the creche?
During the session we sing familiar songs, learn new songs and enjoy interactive story time. We get to know each other during free play and snack time, get creative with craft and messy play activities and, most importantly, we learn more about God every week.
What if my child needs me?
When you sign your little one in, you will be given a wristband with a number. We will flash the number on the screen if your child needs you. Sometimes we may just come and get you from the main hall if that’s quicker. We would ask you not to leave the premises while your little ones are in Sunday Tots so we can contact you easily.
