This month in our regular ‘a cuppa with …’ series I caught up with Jenny from Teeny Tots to tell us more about what they do.
What is Teeny Tots?
Teeny Tots is a ‘stay & play’ group for parents, carers and grandparents to bring their under 5’s to. You will find a warm and friendly welcome, a huge amount of toys including a soft play baby area, arts & crafts tables, ride on toys, slides, a book corner, and even a pretend play area with kitchens & train tracks, houses & cars and we end every session with song time! We host it all in a large hall staffed by an amazing group of volunteers. It is a great place to make friends, play, explore and have fun.
When is Teeny Tots & how much does it cost?
We run 2 sessions throughout the School year on a Tuesday. Our morning group runs from 10:00am to 11:30am and our afternoon group is 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
Why not come along for a free taster session as we don’t charge for your first visit! If you decide to come again then it is £2 for the first child and 25p each for their siblings.
What will I find when I go along?
You will find a great place to have fun with your child in a social setting, helping them develop social confidence, sharing and caring skills. We also find that people often make new friendships, share ideas and support each other along the way. The Teeny Tots team also love to listen, support and help where we can. Here at Kingsgate we also have a great Coffee Shop. We find that many families stay for a cuppa and cake or enjoy their lunch here too. (You can even take a breather in the Coffee Shop from all the fun play throughout the sessions!)
Is there anything else you do?
Yes! We have a preloved clothing area called ‘Tots Treaures’ running in every session. You can purchase good quality, low cost clothes for ages 0 to 6, there is always someone on hand to help you and there are amazing bargains to be had! We also have themed family craft days throughout the year on a number of Saturday’s and an annual trip to Pettits Adventure Park in the summer holidays.

If you want to bring your child along just visit us at the beginning of one of the sessions! We have a first come, first served policy for up to 50 children and we would love to see you here at Teeny Tots.
